FAQs

What are Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS)?
CCSS are behavioral health services that help individuals build skills, access resources, and gain support in their daily lives. The goal is to empower clients to become more independent, stable, and confident in managing challenges.

Who is eligible for CCSS?
CCSS is a Medicaid-funded service available to individuals who meet behavioral health criteria and have Medicaid coverage. Our team can help you determine if you qualify and guide you through the process.

What kinds of support can I receive through CCSS?
Support is individualized and may include help with daily living skills, emotional regulation, accessing community resources, applying for benefits, educational or career guidance, and family support.

How is CCSS different from therapy?
Therapy focuses on addressing mental health symptoms through counseling with a licensed clinician. CCSS, on the other hand, focuses on practical skill-building and support for daily life challenges, often provided by a Community Support Worker (CSW). Many clients benefit from using both services together.

What does the intake process look like?
We begin with a referral and eligibility screening, followed by a comprehensive assessment. Together, we create an individualized service plan and assign you a Community Support Worker who will walk with you through your goals.

Is there a cost for CCSS?
No. Since CCSS is a Medicaid benefit, there is no out-of-pocket cost for eligible clients.

Can family members be involved in CCSS?
Yes. Family involvement is often encouraged and supported, as strong family connections can play an important role in recovery and growth.

How often will I meet with my Community Support Worker?
The frequency of meetings depends on your individualized service plan. Some clients meet weekly, while others may need more or less frequent support depending on their goals.
